Ok, so everyone and their dog is doing the "You know you're from..." meme.  And I am refusing, because Chicago is kicking my ass in so many unpleasant ways I just want to go back to being a tried and true Mass-hole and be done with it.   But moving day is not until the 7th.  (The truck is even booked! \o/)

So not that one.

Instead, since the muses have been killed for many months by things like.... death of a family member, loss of job, surgery, more surgery... evil shit... I wanted to prove that I still do have head-canon.   I think I hit most of the TF characters in some fashion, even if it has to be AU.  *shrugs*

Re: moving - Back to Massachusetts where all the family is. Trying to regroup.

Movie Ironhide: ♥

1- Always knew he wanted to be in protection, worked up to leading the Guard, which I peg as a blend of secret service and the Swiss Guard protecting the Prime. As any of the armed divisions, he fell under Megatron's command before the war.

2- He trained Optimus to fight, and took a big role in helping the fledgling Autobots ('Hide might chime in with 'bumbling...') learn to work as an Army.

3- Ironhide always carried a torch for Ratchet, even with their on again/off again status that lasted for ages.

4- Has two sparklings. Jolt is his and Ratchet's. (It started crack that became head canon.) The other, was Bluesteak with Prowl early on in the war. It was sort of an angry sex accident. To keep Blue safe as the sparkling of two officers, Prowl mostly raised his as a "found orphan" alongside Jazz as they drifted together. But having to be so hands off with his sparkling ate at Ironhide. (and someday I will post something of this monster fic....)

*snickers* Chicago is the land of mafia and people that won't follow the rules.

Wheeljack:

1- Ended up having a very close relationship with a mentor in the Academy, and that led him into teaching. He really enjoyed the unorthodox solutions that his students came up with sometimes.

2- He joined up with the Autobots after the destruction of the science sectors and the Academy. While his focus was more polymers and materials science, he had to expand to more general engineering.

3- 'Jack is not as accident prone as some of the other troops make him out to be. It's just that when something he does or makes fails, it has a tendency to be rather... memorable. ♥

4- What started as a crack pairing of him with Optimus is now firmly entrenched in my head. Though sometimes Wheeljack ends up in threesomes with Ratchet and Ironhide. >3

Bonus Human AU- Wheeljack = Jamie, a bomb tech for a police department. So he defuses explosions instead causing them... unless he has to detonate something in place. XD

fffff OMG #3 so much. I hate when people make Wheeljack blow everything up. It has to be in moderation (and memorable lol) or it's not funny anymore. He built the Dinobots and the Immobilizer, and they didn't blow up. He can build stuff that works! It's just, when it doesn't work, it doesn't just fall apart. |D

So much love for crack pairing OTPs. And threesomes. ...and Wheeljack love of any kind really. :3

I haaaate moving. But managed to avoid it for three years. And now back to New England where literally my entire family is. So it really is going home.

Optimus: *purrs*

1- Loves human turns of phrase. And I give him a few verbal quirks, he uses far bigger words than really required, never uses contractions, and always always calls everyone by their full name. No Ratch or 'Jack or anything.

2- Movie Prime... the link between the ruling diad of the Prime and Lord High Protector is something like sparksiblings, beyond a twin bond. They were sparked to be rulers beside each other and were lovers before the war. The bond breaking when Sam killed Megatron in the first movie still leaves pain from time to time.

3- The Matrix is this strange hybrid of a communication link to the old Primes, and a symbiont that is/isn't part of Optimus. It whispers to him, guides him, but sometimes stays frustratingly mum. Poor Optimus doesn't always understand what it is or is up to.

4- Optimus is really focused outwards on the rest of the troops, to the expense of himself. He will sparkshare with a lot of the others when they need reassurance or to hear some support from the Matrix, but he can be a little oblivious when it comes to his own relationships. ♥ Though he's told it's adorable. XD

*hugs* Hopefully things are settling out and I can be creative again soon.

1- Ratchet's habit of chewing out... and maybe beating up mechs when he is frustrated with them, regardless of whether they might be much much bigger than him started rather early. His creators got many a comm from the youth sectors about their sparkling.

2- Ratchet is a bit of an old school model as medics go. He's built to be able to get to anyone and deal with whatever comes up in place. It's why he's so chunky and the redundant systems, but it lent well to combat. Younger models like First Aid are more bitty and meant to dart in, and stabilize while transporting a patient out.

3- He was something more like a clinic head at the beginning of the war. Ratchet was somewhat on the radar of Prime, and he became CMO of the Autobots by a combination of yes, being very good, but also outlasting the rest. Not too many of the others could survive battle and the army lifestyle.

4- Ratchet can be notorious for pushing mechs away, burying in work to avoid getting too close. He's with Ironhide on Earth, but he pushed the weapons specialist away more than either would care to count. At least he knows 'Hide, for some crazy reason, is inordinately patient with his waffling. ♥

1- I kinda think he's like Mowgli, feral kid.

2- Rodimus or Springer or Kup sometimes discover the kid curled up recharging under their desks.

3- He does outgrow the rhyming glitch, it was only caused by a bad hit to his helm at some point.

4- He and Danny do (eventually) stop getting in trouble quite so much. Well, it's more rare, but bigger issues.

Rewire... ok.

1- Yes, his alt is an older model and he's pretty boxy, but he likes it. If he had to rescan, he'd probably end up adding a few feet in height and he'd thin out.

2- He doesn't quite admit it out loud, but when his bonded lost it and left them it sort of wrecked him for a long time.

3- Twi kept him going, and he's glad she was a little too young to remember things going sour, or her carrier that clearly.

4- He worked at a relay station in the middle of nowhere for a long time, as social as he is he can go last for ages in isolation.

1- As a sparkling he was rather infamous for hiding under furniture when new mechs came around. Big bro often had to hunt him down and drag him out. :3

2- He was in a cohort of 5 other architects through the academy, there was some youngling fooling around. His first relationship was getting semi-serious with one of them.

3- There were times in the dead of night, high on stims, and the walls closing in on him when he wondered why he fell for a mech that only alienated him further. But in the clarity after, off the stimulants and when he could recharge curled up with the Benz he would never change it.

4- Earning his keep around the base, he works at using human tech and materials to build and maintain structures that need to hold up to Cybertronian use. It's quiet, maybe a little boring, but he likes the challenge of new... though he tries not to say "inferior"... materials.
