Mission Mech Stalk: 2 for 3

Thank you flist, for informing me that Bay is a sneaky sneaky glitch, and while he was supposed to be shutting down one street for filming next weekend, that does not mean he is not on other streets.... NAO.

So.  After seeing stuff about him in Chicago, I used my massive "I dun have a car, so I know all of downtown like the back of my hand" super mind powers, knew where they were, plugged the camera in as I took a shower, and barreled downtown to stalk.

And the younglings are fine.  They are, they truly are.  But I like the old mechs.  So, goal was Prime, Ratchet, and Ironhide.  And any humans, Bay-splosions or anything else cool.

Wandered around.  They seriously had like... 2 x 5 blocks cordoned off.  I circled the set a bit, and found little places that they let people crisscross the set. 

Chicago is a grid.  You tell people they have to go around, they sorta flip.  XD

The road was all "blown up" and there were cars toppled.  >3

Irony times, yes?

I went to BotCon.  Flight to Jacksonville, drive to Orlando.  Four-ish days of Convention.  The reverse.  Did I find Prime?  No.

Do I find Prime in my city, a mere two buck subway ride and 15 minutes from my apartment? 

...HELLS YES!



Excuse the slightly plastic smile of waiting for a stranger to understand my camera.  I bobbed a curtsy to him after he took the picture, I was that giddy.  XD





Prime drives himself around, thank you very much.  <3

I think he's kinda cute.  The new look is growing on me.

And some younglings under tarps.  Wimps.  Bah.  Din even waste the megapixels.  But it is Bee-butt in front of Ratch, and Sideswipe taking a beauty nap behind.  >3

More crisscrossing.  And each time you go by the rubble there are crew hollering "KEEP MOVING,"  and "NO PICTURES!" 



Well.  One time I am surreptitiously snapping pictures with my cell phone and the guy ahead of me hears the "CA-CHICK!" obnoxious noise and gives me a knowing smile.  We start chatting and I show the Autobot Dog Tags I'm wearing (under my shirt, but ready to whip out if it would help me get to see something cool) and he shows me a picture on his fancy schmancy camera of Ironhide.  I said I would love the picture, we exchange texts and email and he will send when he finishes his vacation.  I made a slightly random friend!  When his wife wandered back he was like "Show her your necklace! X3" So more to come.

Umm.  Found NEST gear.





This sign made me literally stand there and and laugh....  XD



Waited around for a Bay-splosion!  Though, I actually think it was gunfire.  Right after, it started raining and I huddled in an alcove.  They brought two HUGE machine guns back to the truck nearby. As well as enough ammo to make Ironhide proud. 

So by this point, I was rained on, still only ten days out of surgery and exhausted.  So I headed home.

Yup, I called someone while standing there by Prime and just... I don't remember what I said, but I know there was very little coherency.

And yeah. Medic watching over the sports cars. Bee not covered so well. And Sideswipe covered rather well.



Heh heh... yeah... 10 days. Eep. Pushed a little hard and I staggered into my apartment and just about fell over. But I'm doing alright. *hugs back*

Prime was special, I happen to find him during a photo op. Even then, they kept people about arm's length away for the most part.

Lots of "encouraging" people to keep moving.
