My mother's side of the family is Ferris, meaning Iron and Steel.

[[edit: i got the boot at 10:30.  and was miserable.  but once work got out, almost to a man, everyone from work called or texted or came over to drag me out of my cave of misery.  and everyone is being so supportive that i can't help but actually cry from being touched.]]
