Ok, the muses have been flopping around like "mostly-dead" fish for, well, honestly most of this year. This has me infinitely saddened. But, until they are brave enough to return, randomness abounds.
In no particular order - some amusing/geek things.
Apparently, the third Transformers movie will be filming at least a couple scenes in Chicago. I fully intend to stalk them. If I can get a few glimpses of either shiny vehicles or military guys, I will be infinitely happy.
I followed around when they were filming The Dark Knight in town, and actually, a lot of freakin' stuff films in the city. There's like 4 recent films that literally had stuff happen in my neighborhood. So I seriously know where most things happen. Camera, in backpack, charged at all times. :D
Umm. I have set my cell phone ring to Ironhide's theme from the movie score, the drums after he crawls out of the pool. It makes me smile.
Then, since I am always running late in the morning, my new "get your sorry butt out the door already" alarm is Optimus Prime's wood flute theme. *purrpurr* And oddly, Prime telling me to get moving is working, I'm a little better about leaving on time.
One of my coworkers literally said to me "Wow, your nerdyness knows no bounds," when I mentioned I had made a Pandora station of movie scores. >.>;;
I am growing obsessed with Avatar again. It comes in waves, but I've been listening to the score for about a day straight.
And I feel contentedly in control of my life for the first time in a while. It has nothing to do with work, which can be a bit frustrating; but it's about me, not my work self.
My sister finally has gotten frustrated with an idiot boyfriend enough that she has kicked him out from crashing at her apartment. I am so infinitely proud of her!
There are pictures of my ferret. It's physically impossible to get good pictures of a live, running around ferret. But a sleepy one. Score! This is Vinnie. He started as "Vanilla" when I was being all hoi polloi, since he was more blond than the only other ferret I'd ever met. But as much as I have a mild pet peeve (*snerk*) about not giving pets people names, he's not a Vanilla.

He's totally a Vinnie.
